Globalization, Social Justice, and Human Rights

This course explores the theories, issues, and debates associated with social justice, human rights and globalization. The course rests upon the foundation that human development and human rights are integral elements of social justice and explores the economic, political, legal and cultural dimensions of globalization that inhibit or facilitate their realization. Versions of this course are being taught around the world including the United States, Italy, Portugal, and Russia, and we will be learning from and working with students at a variety of partner institutions.
