Globalization: An Introduction
This seminar introduces graduate students in the MA program in Globalization to a range of theories, histories, concepts, and debates in contemporary globalization studies. Topics will span economic, political, and social dimensions, with particular emphasis on globalization as a series of long-standing, contested, and often contradictory processes. Specific topics include violence and warfare in the post-Cold War world,supranational ‘extrastatecraft,’ global cities, and environmental struggles.
